The group then explored the serene surroundings of Bhojtaal ( Upper Lake ), understanding its creation by Raja Bhoj and its importance as Bhopal’s lifeline.
The walk continued to Shaukat Mahal , known for its unique Indo-European architectural blend, followed by a visit to the Central Library , which stands as a treasure house of knowledge and history. Students also viewed the beautifully designed Moti Masjid , admired for its striking resemblance to Delhi’s Jama Masjid.
The highlight of the walk was the visit to the majestic Taj-ul-Masajid , one of the largest mosques in India, where students observed its grand architecture and historical relevance. The students also saw Sadar Manzil, the former council hall known for its red-brick beauty and royal charm.
Throughout the walk, teachers and Heritage Club mentors shared valuable insights, making the experience educational, engaging, and memorable. The activity helped students connect with Bhopal’s heritage, fostering pride and awareness about the importance of preserving historical sites.
